The Heart of Texas Miniature Aircraft Club (HOTMAC) was founded in April 1964 by individuals interested in building and flying radio controlled (RC) model aircraft.
The club leases its current 39 acre flying site from the City of Waco Parks and Recreation which has leased the land from the Corps of Engineers near Speegleville Park.
The asphalt runway is 800' long by 80' wide. Vehicle access is by all-weather paved roads off Overflow Road.
