The Horizon City R/C Flyers Club was established by 17 members in 1976 and received AMA Charter No. 1416.
The club is incorporated with a Board of Directors (voted in by the members) to oversee the day to day operations. The Horizon City Flyers became a 501 (c) 3 in 1998 enabling the club to hold several successful events benefiting some very worthwhile organizations in our area. We intend to focus our efforts in the future to give back to our community even more as our organization grows. After 35 years and with 60+ members, we are in the process of establishing our brand new field located in Horizon City.
As in any organization it is the members that make it great. We are no exception. We are very proud of our members dedication to the clubs efforts in promoting the sport of Radio Controlled Aircraft and supporting our charitable endeavors.
