Established in late 1977 by a group of people looking to share their hobby of radio control flying models, the Manitwo Flyers was incorporated with the State of Wisconsin and became a charter club with the Academy of Model Aeronautics.

The club has maintained a flying field for the benefit of its members.
Membership has been between 30 and 50 strong, fathers, wives, sons and daughters. Instruction for members is available for beginners and advanced flyers.
After basic instructions, new flyers are encouraged to get their pilots badge by demonstrating their flying proficiency.
