The R/C Aircrafters of Western New York, Inc. is a non- profit Club organized for promoting model building and flying in our area, particularly with regard to radio controlled aircraft (Club bylaws here).
It is also our objective to promote the ideals and activities of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), with which we are affiliated as an AMA Chartered Club.
The AMA provides low cost liability insurance for the protection of Clubs and members during involvement in modeling activities. If you decide to join the R/C Aircrafters, you will be required to join the AMA.
As a member of the R/C Aircrafters, you will enjoy the association with others having the same interests as you have and you will learn from their experience.
The Club participates in many activities for the benefit of the members and to present our hobby interests to the general public.
For example: static displays of all types and sizes of R/C models at shopping malls, an Annual Model Show and Auction that is nationally acclaimed, an annual Christmas Party and Awards Banquet at the end of the year, and a members only picnic held in the Summer.
